Baby Itsy Bitsy Yoga

  • Ages:  Newborn to Almost Crawling Baby with a Parent or Caregiver

Itsy Bitsy Yoga is a calming and nurturing yoga practice full of ways to enhance bonding and make babies happier and more comfortable in their bodies. This class contains dozens of unique yoga postures designed specifically to soothe and support the development of a baby's body. During the BABY IBY class, the baby is mostly lying on their tummy, back or in a parent’s arms. For parents, this class gives the special time necessary to bond with and learn about your baby's emerging personality. Most of the yoga we do in Itsy Bitsy Yoga is for the child, but you will learn breathing and relaxation techniques as well as practice some yoga for yourself. (No yoga experience required)

Tots Itsy Bitsy Yoga

  • Ages: almost crawling to 24 months with a parent or caregiver

A fun-loving, supportive, and active yoga practice filled with dozens of Itsy Bitsy Yoga poses just for tots. In a time when tots naturally become busier, Itsy Bitsy Yoga continues to build the parent/child bond, helps our tots feel happier and more confident in their moving bodies, and encourages their creative spirit. IBY founder, Helen Garabedian, has discovered many proven techniques playfully teach tots yoga postures while they are standing, sitting up, walking, and jumping set of yoga postures. Parents get to do a little yoga too (no yoga experience required). Experience the shared joy when Tots move into yoga poses on their own!

Tots Itsy Bitsy Yoga

  • Ages:  21 month to 4 year-old

Itsy Bitsy Yoga® for Tykes offers more than 50 unique and engaging yoga postures, rhymes and activities for you to share with your 21 month to 4 year-old. You and your tyke will delight in practicing yoga, discovering new movements and singing together. Now that your tyke can mimic, walk and talk, Itsy Bitsy Yoga uses his skills and interests to enhance his awareness and self-confidence. Preschoolers have a mind of their own, and trained Itsy Bitsy Yoga facilitators know exactly how to honor and appeal to these independent spirits. Each Tyke IBY class is personalized around the curiosities of the child participants as the children learn yoga through social interactions, repetition, and play.

 

Family Yoga

A fun and free spirited class giving parents and children an opportunity to playfully explore yoga together!  Improve your body and mind with a fun approach to breathing and movement.  Increase strength, flexibility, coordination and posture.  Learn fun partner poses, breath techniques, explore with games, songs and stories. The bond that occurs in this class between parents and children is truly special and a gift you give to each other.


Kid classes


Just 4 Kids Yoga


K-grade 2, ages 5-7

This age appropriate class provides a fun and safe environment for kids to stretch, improve balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, focus and body awareness. Through the creative use of props, songs, stories and imaginative play, this class will explore traditional yoga postures and principles.


Grade 3-5, ages 8-11
 
This class will explore traditional yoga postures, breathing techniques and relaxation in a fun, accessible way. Classes include interesting yoga challenges, fun and varied themes, partner work in addition to lots of ideas and games to stimulate interaction and participation.
